Dorsalis Grass Lizard

Species description

A small, slender grass lizard from the family Lacertidae, endemic to the Yaeyama Islands of Japan. It has an elongated body, a long tail and highly agile movements. Diurnal and primarily associated with vegetation and low shrubs, it feeds mainly on small invertebrates. It is valued in captivity for its small size, active behavior and distinctive appearance.
