Species description

***Orthriophis taeniurus callicyanous*** is a striking subspecies of the Beauty Rat Snake, commonly known as the **Vietnamese Blue Beauty Rat Snake**. Native to Southeast Asia, it is particularly known for its metallic blue, blue-grey and turquoise coloration, which becomes more pronounced as the snake matures. Adults typically reach around **1.8–2.4 m** in length. It is an active, powerful climber with a semi-arboreal lifestyle and can be defensive, especially when kept in an enclosure.
