Zebra Dwarf Gecko

Species description

A small, diurnal tree gecko endemic to eastern Tanzania, particularly the forested areas around Tanga. The species was described in 1995 and named in honor of herpetologist Kim Monroe Howell. It is characterized by a slender build and distinctive striped coloration—dark stripes running along the back of its body, which gave it the English name “Zebra Dwarf Gecko.” Its throat is grayish-white.
