North Luzon Stick Insect

Species description

A relatively large, robust member of the Obriminae. Adult females reach around 8 cm in length, with a strongly built body covered in characteristic bumps and spines. Colouration can vary — from shades of brown and grey to more reddish tones. This allows the insect to mimic a piece of bark or a dry twig extremely well. The species is wingless, like the other members of the genus Trachyaretaon.
